About 370 km east of Reykjavík, Jökulsárlón (Glacier Lagoon) is famous for its huge floating icebergs. These ice chunks break off from the Breiðamerkurjökull (glacier) and slowly drift across the water.

This trip gives you plenty of time to see Iceland’s most beautiful sights. Along the way, you will stop at many places to enjoy the views and take photos. Travel along the famous South Coast, where volcanoes, glaciers, and nature’s raw power have shaped the land.

Stop at the stunning Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, known for its tall basalt columns and dramatic sea stacks. Visit two breathtaking waterfalls, Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, each offering something special. At Seljalandsfoss, you can walk behind the falling water for a one-of-a-kind view. At Skógafoss, climb the 500 steps beside the waterfall to see an amazing view from above.

Your adventure continues at Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon, a deep and winding canyon carved by glacial water thousands of years ago. Its green, moss-covered cliffs and flowing river make it one of Iceland’s most beautiful spots.

When you arrive at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, you will see massive icebergs floating peacefully on the water. A short walk away, you can explore Diamond Beach, where bright ice chunks wash up on the black sand, shining like gemstones.

To make your visit even more exciting, you can take an optional boat tour on the Glacier Lagoon, available from April through October. (Please note that the boat tour ticket is not included.)

 Verified Excellent Customer Service I booked our airport transfer online a few weeks before our departure. Walter called me directly within 5 minutes to confirm my booking. It was very reassuring to get this call. He was already waiting at the airport when we landed. We also called him at the last minute to take us on a tour of the South Coast. He was very accommodating and fun to talk with. Later in the week we needed rides to a few locations within Reykjavik.  Verified Best transportation choice we made! I found Walter via Trip Advisor before leaving to Iceland. Communication with him was fantastic from the moment I reached out on WhatsApp. It was easy to coordinate with our flight information and hotel. Walter drove us from the airport to downtown Reykjavik, from the hotel to the lagoon, and even gave us a ride from the lagoon to pick up our van. He always responded quickly and was friendly. We were thankful that he was the first person we experienced in Iceland, it made our hectic travel day so much more enjoyable. His service was fantastic and reasonably priced.
