We drive over the plateau of Hellisheiði, past the greenhouse village of Hveragerði, to the village of Hvolsvöllur Along the way we visit two magnificent waterfalls: Seljalandsfoss a tall thin beauty of 73 meters, where one can walk behind the waterfall, and Skógafoss, a 60 meter roaring giant that you can approach, as close as you dare. This area was badly hit by the floods from the eruption at Eyjafjallajökull in the spring of 2010 but has been restored.
There is also the beautiful black Reynisfjara Beach, Iceland´s southern most point with a magnificent sea cave to explore.
