Located a short distance from the fishing port of Grindavík on the Reykjanes penisula in the southwest the Blue Laggon is today one of Iceland´s most popular tourist attractions. Created by water from the nearby Svartsengi geothermal power plant, tis warm, mineralirich waters are said to be effective in the treatment of psoriasis and a variety of other skin complaints.
